This Corvis exam gives an evaluation of the corneal biomechanical response, tonometry and corneal pachymetry. This equipment records the corneal reaction after an air defined pulse using a modern high-speed Scheimpflug camera. This camera captures more than 4300 photograms per second, providing a very accurate measure of the intraocular pressure and the corneal thickness, based on a video.
This exam gives results of the intraocular pressure, the cornea thickness, and the response of a corneal deformation.
Based on this data, the corvis exam has the potential of determine a value of the intraocular pressure that is not influenced by the corneal biomechanics.
