The OrbScan exam is a topography that provides complete information about the corneal structure and anterior chamber. The OrbScan topography measures the shape of the corneal frontal and anterior surface, this gives a complete image of the cornea thickness. The OrbScan gives high precision information because it takes data of 9000 different points of the cornea in seconds.
It combines Slit Lamp sweep technology and advanced placid disc system. It also provides the deepness of the anterior chamber, Kappa angle, the elevation of the anterior and posterior chamber and the corneal curve.
CASES IN WHICH IT IS REQUIRED:
- Previous diagnosis for laser refractive surgery.
- Measurement for Intra Ocular Lenses Implants.
- Contact lenses Adaptation.
Diagnosis and follow up of corneal diseases: keratoconus, pellucid marginal degeneration, irregular astigmatism, and more.
